SiCOMB Consortium will take part in the 19th International Conference on Silicon Carbide and Related Materials

SiCOMB will be involved thanks to the direct participation of one of its partners, the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), from Germany.

The conference series, started in Washington D.C. in 1987, is the most important technical event on silicon carbide (SiC) and related materials worldwide. Its stimulating atmosphere is well celebrated also by Ulrike Grossner (ETH Zurich), part of the Organizing Committee, who underlines that “A lot of the major contributions in SiC research as a whole and towards more energy-efficient applications have been published and discussed first at the ICSCRM conference series” and “many of the very first scientists and engineers in SiC continue to actively contribute to the conference”.

As the program shows, the conference will host Plenary Talks (on Monday, 12th September and on Friday, 16thSeptember) and multiple sessions on the other days. The list of the Plenary & Invited Speakers is available here.

A Tutorial Day is also scheduled on Sunday, 11st September and it will introduce the basic concepts of the sector, included materials, devices and quantum technology. The lectures are opened to all the participants who are new to the field and who want to get more familiar; they are given by six well recognized speakers included Prof. Noboru Ohtani (School of Engineering, Kwansei Gakuin University), Dr. Peter Losee (Qorvo), Assoc. Prof. Marina Radulaski (University of California, Davis), Prof. Tibor Grasser (Institute for Microelectronics, TU Vienna), Prof. Nando Kaminski (Universität Bremen, Institut für elektrische Antriebe, Leistun-gselektronik und Bauelemente), Dr. Iulian Nistor (mqSemi AG, Zug).
